Full Period Listed Georgian House Refurbishment, Camberwell, London.
This project consisted of the full renovation of a 3 story, Grade II listed, period Georgian building. We worked in stages on this project as the clients remained living at the property whilst renovations were underway, so we worked floor by floor. We started at the top of the building by renovating the guest bedrooms, guest bathroom and study. This involved re-wiring, re-plumbing for the radiators, plastering, re-flooring and decorating. We also relocated the heating system from under the ground floor stairs to the top floor hallway cupboard.
Level 2 was the full renovation of the master bathroom and master bedroom. We then completed the renovation of the stairwell for the top 2 floors, including handrail and spindle throughout, before moving onto the third and largest phase of the project.
This phase consisted of removing the pitched roof above the kitchen/dining area. We raised the level of the parapet wall to give more privacy from the main road and strengthened the structure and created a roof top terrace, including bespoke seating/storage and a designated BBQ area. A spiral staircase was installed for access and the back yard was re-designed with raised sleeper beds for plants/herb garden and a patio laid to create a useable outdoor space. We renovated the space underneath the new roof terrace area and installed a brand new kitchen with an island and knocked through to the room next door to create a large kitchen/diner open plan space. 2 other living room areas were fully refurbished on the ground floor. We installed Under Floor Heating throughout and walnut parquet flooring which we sanded and polished. We finished the ground floor hall and installed a Cloakroom under the stairs.
